The Pipeline — Previz in Days, Not Weeks

A Hybrid Production Pipeline

Previz used to take weeks. Now it takes days.

A process that pairs traditional CGI asset work with local,  AI-assisted generation — so a concept can be tested, seen, and approved before a studio commits to full production.

What this pipeline actually turns out

No case study attached to these — just a look at raw stills and clips from the ComfyUI pass, so you can judge the fit for yourself.

The Process

One continuous loop

Every stage still exists — asset creation, art direction, editorial, approval. What changes is how fast a concept can move through them before anyone commits real budget to it.

01
Assets
Provided by the client, or built from scratch in Cinema 4D, ZBrush, and Substance Painter — same asset pipeline as any traditional production.

02
Local Handling Local
Asset management, prep, and generation all run on local hardware — including the ComfyUI pass. Nothing leaves the room that doesn't need to.

03
The Look
A moodboard and style pass establishes direction early — stylized, photoreal, or somewhere in between — before a single frame of story gets generated.

04
Script the Story Where CoMFY UI comes in
The story gets broken into scenes, beats, and camera language — written specifically for how a generation model actually responds, not just how a human storyboard artist would read it.

05
Storyboards
The script becomes visual boards — nine panels per page — giving the whole team something concrete to react to before anything moves.

06
Animate Local OpenEXR · 32-bit linear TIFF · 16–32-bit PNG · 16-bit
Generation happens locally. Output isn't a compressed MP4 — it's raw 32-bit linear OpenEXR, .tiff 32/16bit or .png 16 bit straight off the VAE decode node, ready to sit in a real compositing pipeline like any other camera or render pass.

07
Edit & Assembly
Shots are cut together, graded, and scored — the same finishing pass any trailer or spot goes through.

08
Previz
A concept that's fully seen, not just described — something a studio, director, or client can actually approve, before anyone books a stage.

09
Decision
Full production begins with confidence instead of guesswork — the concept has already been tested against the thing it's actually trying to be.

No pipeline this fast skips iteration — it just moves the iteration earlier, where it's cheap.

Why It Works

Traditional pipeline and generative tools, one person, one workflow

This pipeline runs on working both sides at once — directing and producing through generative tools the same way as traditional ones, in one workflow instead of two separate skillsets.

Same asset creation, art direction, and editorial judgment as any traditional production, with generation compressing how early a concept can be seen and tested before real budget gets committed.

Toolkit

Same pipeline, new stage

Nothing in the traditional stack goes away — generation is one more input into tools already built for finishing real work.
